Visitors to Tenerife have a new must-see destination - Siam Park, a spectacular Thai-themed waterpark 8 years in the making opened its doors last year and is getting rave reviews from press and visitors alike. Billed as 'The Water Kingdom' Siam Park is Europe's largest water-park and houses the largest Thai-village outside Thailand itself - anywhere in the World!
Siam Park is located on the TF1 highway in Costa Adeje and as Oasis Apartments are located in the heart of Costa Adeje, we really are the ideal location from which to explore this unique attraction!

At 18.5 hectares Siam Park features Siamese theming and the most spectacular water attractions in Europe. The park is set in the ancient kingdom of Siam and was opened by Her Royal Highness the Princess of Thailand Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.
Siam Park sets a few world records;
The statue of the world's largest dragon.
Increased elevation within the lazy river (up to 8 metres).
The largest man-made wave in the world (about 3 metres).
The Thai building world's largest outside Asia.
As a water-park, it features the largest range of attractions.
The beautiful Thai design has been achieved by one Professor Ruthai in Bangkok. He has personally designed all the buildings and sculptures down to the last detail to make sure that everything has a real Thai feel but that there is nothing that would offend the Thai religions or beliefs.
Interestingly, Siam Park has also been designed to meet the highest levels of scrutiny by environmentalists. Tenerife has an excellent water system, however being a sub-tropical climate water is a scarce and precious resource. Siam Park takes its huge water needs directly from the sea, thus taking pressure off the local water systems. The water is treated to remove the salt any any impurities, and the machinery driving this process is run from Siam Park's own natural gas system, the first of its type ever installed in the Canary Islands, and specially chosen for it's low 'carbon footprint' and to minimise any effects on the local environment.
The vast network of rapid water-tubes throughout the park are covered by dense vegetation - unlike most water parks, where you can clearly see the huge pipes and stands, Siam Park has been designed to be distictive, with lush vegetation throughout.
The park is large enough to warrant a couple of days exploring - and Oasis in San Eugenio is a great base from which to explore Siam Park, and indeed all of Southern Tenerife from! We are close enough to Siam Park for you to walk round or, if you'd prefer, it's a very cheap taxi ride away - with taxis available throughout the day from just outside Oasis.
As you might imagine, such a massive project has been very eagely awaited by the ex-pat community in Tenerife, and if you're planning a visit here in 2009 you'll be amoungst the very first to experience this fantastic new water park!
You'll be pleased to know that Oasis is situated very close by to Siam Park, Tenerife - you can even walk it (although taxis are very cheap!)
