My PD is 08/04/06, and my AP is expiring on June 2nd, I probably will have to travel sometimes June end. I am in a fix if I should go ahead and apply for Ap now. My PD will be current begining June 1st. I heard it may take 1 week to 60 days to get GC after your date becomes current, Do you guys think it's good idea to just apply for AP just in case?

You may apply for AP at any time right? If you apply now, it is very unlikely that you will receive before your June end travel. And if you don't get your GC in june what will you do ? see, it is very easy to ask confusing questions. :)

All options are possible, depends on your personal preference. There is NO good answer.
If your spouse is in H1B and have a stable income, I would suggest the H4 path.

i am currently on my 8th year h1..and on the bench..hoping some projects will come thru in a week or so.
Currently i have been on LOP for almost 5 weeks now..
what do you think would be a good option for me:
a.) Start the process for H4..and find a new job..and transfer H1 and stay till H1 is valid till may 2010..
b.) Be on bench for few more weeks.. and hope someting will work out...(firm has said they wont cancel my h1/140).. they are just being helpful..but?
c.) R2I ASAP...and try for a consular processing....?
d.) go to H4...and R2I in May...then if the Eb2(Dec 2005) dates are current..try for a CP..its a long shot...
i am confused..any suggestions??

Hi Guys
I was working with a company on H1b and i left to india for a vacation on aug 13 . got stuck in india due to some personal reasons.
I got paid till aug 30 as i had leave sanctioned till aug 30.
came back to US on dec 30.
Didnt get paid for the month of sept oct nov dec.
But i was never out of status as I was in india.
now can i apply for a h1b trasnfer as i m getting a job with a very good company with good salary.
i have paystubs till aug 30 2009. never out of status .

I had this experience in the past...when my H1 Extension is applied sometime back, they gave me a new i-94 number (probably due to an error)....however, when I left the country for a vacation, I stapled & returned both I-94's as per my attorney's suggestion (through my emp)...
In any case, please retain a copy of the same....

If it is by and large the same business, their immigration lawyer will have to file some paperwork indicating the company has changed its structure and for the paperwork to be amend under the new name.

Hi,
Address should be home address which in your friends case would be address in India.
Same applies for the home phone.
I believe you can put tentative travel date for his travel to US. This info is usually used to determine start date for validity of visa.
For last question, I had used name and contact info of graduate adviser/Department Head.

There will be cases where simply placing your code below initializecomponent doesn't work as expected because your application hasn't fully loaded. For example, code in a UserControl that is relying on application state will return faulty values unless you ensure the parent has loaded via the Loaded event.

your second one is much better.... a bit of advice on the first one: get that yellow thing out of there!!! You first one, is a bit unorganized, and well not really too interesting, no effects that grab your eyes. The second one, while very simplistic too at least has a much more pleasing layout. Keep at it - you're already improving.

There is likely to be a change in my reporting manager. My current reporting manager will still be in the company in a new role, but I will be reporting to a new manager.
My PERM application (LC) was filed in mid Jan '09, and is still being processed. I would like to know if this will affect my PERM application in any way.
Nothing else has changed since i took up this position, same title, salary, location etc.,

In order to do this, she will have to leave the country and apply for a H-1b consular processing. Get a new visa and come back into the county on H-1. She cannot file for a change of status to H-1 from AOS.

Company A can not by law press any charges for the filing fees of H1B petition but they might go after you to pay for other costs in case you have agreed to pay for attorney fees.

Bush did not mention a single word about legal immigration. He was referring to foreign (limit/read that as Mexican) workers and putting in place programs to stem the flow of additional undocumented ones. He spoke just over a minute and there was not a bit to be gleeful about for legal immigrants.

As a side note, seems like the writers have sort of given up already on his last year of his presidency as the entire speech was rather mundane. In a troubled time for the entire country with the economy down, house market bust, recession looming, he chose to highlight the past and glorify to garner legacy.
Will it be a year of inaction? I hope not, lets us do our bit by supporting efforts of IV.

when we go for finger printing will they ask for the A#. If so, do we need to provide the one with the 0 that is on the FP notice or the one with out the 0 (this is on the 485 receipt)

How early can I start working. If I am correct usually I have to wait until I get receipt for USCIS before I can start working for another company. But with H1B from university should I have wait till it gets approved?
