Hi,
Currently working with Company A, where I have I-140 approved. The employer is willing to file I-485. Also have a better offer with Company B, and have H1B approved. Is it possible for me to take leave from company A (using my PTO) and joint company B, keeping both jobs on H1B status?
As my H1B is valid with 2 companies, and both are for full time positions. Is it okay for me to be actively employed with both companies at the same time for 2 or 3 months? Do I violate any H1B regulation, that may cause denial of I-485 at later stage?

This question is implying that the stay for the children to go to school in canada would only be a month or so, not more than six months - so does anyone know if there's a risk in messing up the green cards while the family waits a month in canada while waiting for the next destination.

This info might be a little old. But I filed for PERM on Dec 1, 2010 and it got approved on Dec 19th, 2010. So, 18 days. Also, you can find the latest info for PERM approval processing time on www..com

A friend of mine told me that we do not have to pay Social Security Tax while working on EAD. Does anybody know if this is true ?
That would be a huge plus in case its true.
Your friend may have confused 485 based EAD with F1 OPT based EAD. On F1, you do not pay SS or Medicare. On AOS based EAD, you do need to pay SS/Medicare taxes.

My birth was regiestered under totally different first name, also DOB is off by 9 days (10th June instead of 1st June). Since the birth is registered they are not issueing non-availability cert. . What to do?
I have both parents affidavits, school leaving cert, 10th class cert, PAN card showing date/place same as that in passport. Filing a civil case in India is the option but it could take more than a year. since my PD is Sep04, my 485 could be processed within months.

my kids received finger print notice in 1st week of feb 2008 where as my self and my husband got it in Oct 2007
and we were told by my attorney FP is not required for kids below 14 0r so
we didnot try to call USCIS

My Daughter is traveling on AP, she does not have an EAD.
Her H4 is valid until 8/1/2010, and AP is valid until 10/10/2008. She is coming back here on 8/12/2008
